Everyone has a story which shapes their decisions and future endeavors. My journey to finding a healthy and balanced lifestyle has given me insight into the many physical and mental challenges the human body encounters. I've learned that you can choose to be a victim or a victor.
There was a time where I spent several months in a wheelchair, suffering, taking endless amounts of medication and was left helpless. I found myself feeling like a victim and felt powerless. I then dedicated countless hours researching holistic approaches to medicine, nutrition, and the power of movement.
Within one year, I bounced back! I was healed not only physically, but mentally as well. I vowed to live a life as if today was the last day and focus on things that I can control: my health & fitness, positive attitude, and work/life balance. This journey started over 14 years ago and enables me to bring a high level of empathy, respect, and understanding to my clients and their well being.
Since then, I completed 24 Marathons, a 50 mile race, and countless other distances, trail, and obstacle events. I enjoy kickboxing, spinning, dancing, and weight lifting. I also love trying new things and traveling the world!
After over 17 years serving in the US Military and becoming a Military Spouse, I was faced with new challenges. Moving, transitioning off of active duty, meeting new people, changing jobs, being away from friends and family---was not easy. Once again, I started to feel a loss of control paired with confusion and uncertainty. Under stress, what do you think was the first thing I started to neglect? Healthy balance of work, family, sleep, nutrition, and fitness. It's common and happens even to the most elite or successful athletes and professionals.
I remembered my vow and decided to hire a life coach. I was challenged and empowered with opportunity and clarity like never before. The experience changed my life forever. Through coaching, I learned to de-clutter life, focus my time and efforts where I belong, and faced many of my fears and dis-empowering beliefs.
My passion for people, fitness, a yearning to serve, and inspire others was the driving force behind the starting of The Crews Coach practice.
I want to share my story, knowledge, and strength. I want to give people hope and positivity when they need it most. I want people to know they are not alone in life. I want to give them the tools and resources to be the best version of themselves and fall in love with the journey! We never stop learning and growing. As a wise man Ralph Waldo Emerson once said " Life is a journey, not a destination."
